Travis CI, project hero

Travis CI

Travis CI is a popular continuous integration platform trusted by global developers and engineering teams.

I was responsible for the full web design of Travis CI’s new site, creating a clean, modern layout that aligns with the brand’s evolution and enhances the user experience.

The problem

Travis CI is a long-established CI/CD platform with an audience of developers who have used it for years and a brand that needed to move on without losing them. The redesign had to feel current without reading as a rewrite of what the product is.

What I did

I was responsible for the full web design: the layout system, the hierarchy, how the product story is told across the page. The site leads with the promise a developer can verify in twenty minutes rather than with positioning language, because that is the audience.

The outcome

Measured in September 2026, the delivered site reaches first contentful paint in 0.8s and finishes loading in 1.6s, across 10 sections and 58 images.

In short

  • Diogo Ferreira led the web design of the Travis CI website.
  • Travis CI is a continuous integration and delivery platform used by development teams.

Questions

Do you design as well as build?

Both, though not always on the same project. Travis CI was design; other projects in this portfolio were build against someone else's design, and some were both.

How do you redesign a site for an audience that already knows the product?

By not re-explaining it. Existing users need to find what changed and what did not; new ones need the shortest honest path to trying it. The page is ordered for the second without obstructing the first.
