Literacia Financeira
Literacia Financeira is a digital platform that helps individuals and organizations improve their financial knowledge and decision-making.
I developed the full website in Webflow, including advanced investment calculators built entirely with custom code. The site is fully responsive, performance-optimized, and powered by a dynamic CMS.
The problem
A Portuguese financial literacy platform teaching people to save and invest, which meant the site had to do something most marketing sites never do: calculate. Compound interest, inflation, investment projections. Real tools, not a lead magnet. And it had to stay readable for people who find the subject intimidating.
What I did
I developed the full site in Webflow and wrote the investment calculators from scratch in custom code; they are not an embed or a plugin. The articles and resources run on the CMS. The tone stays plain throughout, because the whole premise fails if the site sounds like a bank.
The outcome
Measured in September 2026, the site reaches first contentful paint in 0.44s and finishes loading in 1.3s, with the calculators running client-side rather than behind a request.

Questions
Can Webflow run real calculators?
Yes, with custom code. These are written by hand and run in the browser, so a result is instant rather than a round trip. Webflow hosts the page; the logic is mine.
Why not use a calculator plugin?
Because the maths is the product. A plugin fixes the inputs, the formatting and the assumptions, and this site needed control of all three, including doing it in Portuguese, with euro conventions.
Does the client update the content?
The articles and resources are CMS collections, so yes. The calculators are code and change when the maths changes, which is rarely.
